With feedback analysis showing that over 95% of those cruising with Crown Blue Line say they are likely to recommend the holiday to a friend, the inland waterways holiday specialist has come up with a package of incentives to reward them when they do.
The launch of a ‘recommend a friend’ scheme is set to help introduce more people to the pleasures of inland waterway cruising holidays. The innovative scheme provides ‘party packs’ of information and sees a £75 discount off boat hire prices for first-time cruisers booking as a result of a recommendation from a Crown Blue Line customer. What’s more, those making the recommendations receive a £75 travel voucher for each resulting booking to be used against future holidays.
Sarah Singleton, marketing manager, said: “Feedback from our customers showed that people like sharing their holiday experiences and adventures with friends and families. The incentives and information packs are helping share and enhance this – we know of some customers who have even given informal talks at their local church halls or held parties for friends in their own homes.
“For us, word of mouth is perceived with far more authority than advertising and is the best form of recommendation you can get. Our ‘recommend a friend’ scheme is the first of many innovations we are launching to try and raise the awareness of boating holidays as a fun and flexible way to visit many of Europe’s most beautiful regions.”
To help customers that may wish to share their holiday experiences with others, Crown Blue Line has produced an Inland Waterways Holiday Information Pack containing posters, invitations, postcards, discount vouchers, DVDs, maps and brochures.
