How do I recommend a friend?
All you have to do is give your friend your name and booking reference number which you will either find on your last holiday invoice or a letter you will have received about this scheme. Your friend needs to quote these details when making a booking in order for you both to receive your discounts.
My friend has been cruising before, but has never had a holiday booking with you in his name. Is he eligible for this offer?
Unfortunately not. Your friend cannot have been part of a crew list in the past.
My friend has booked with Crown Blue Line in the past, but would like to cruise in the future with Connoisseur. Is he eligible for this offer?
No, the offer only applies to Crown Blue Line.
Can I recommend both friends and family?
Yes, please recommend our holidays to as many friends and family as you like.
Is there a limit on the number of friends/family I can recommend?
No, there is no limit. You will receive a £75/100 € discount for every friend or family member who has not been on holiday with us before and who makes a first booking to travel in 2006.
Do I still get a £75/€100 discount if my friend subsequently cancels his holiday?
No. The discount is only applicable once your friend’s booking has been confirmed with full payment.
I have previously cruised with Crown Blue Line. Does my friend also have to cruise with Crown Blue Line?
Yes, your friend can choose to cruise with Crown Blue Line.
Can I have a £75/€100 in cash?
No. There is no cash alternative.
I have already booked my holiday for this year – can I have £75/€100 discount off this holiday?
Unfortunately we can’t apply this offer retrospectively, however, you can choose when you would like to take your discount; any holiday departing before October 31st 2008 is eligible.
What type of holiday can I use my voucher on?
You can use your voucher on any inland waterway cruising holiday booked with Crown Blue Line. Any length of holiday is eligible. Any destination is eligible.
Can I take my discount at any time of year?
There are no date restrictions on when this discount can be taken. Our holidays are available from March-October each year.
Can I use my discount in combination with other offers?
Yes, you can use your discount in combination with other offers available at the time of booking.
I’ve previously holidayed with Crown Blue Line. Can I get a discount off holidays with Emerald Star and Connoisseur?
No, Unfortunately your Recommend a Friend discount applies across cruising holidays with just Crown Blue Line.
I’ve requested an information pack to help me ‘spread the word’ about these holidays to my friends, but I have run out of brochures. Can I have some more?
Yes of course! Please order a new pack via our website or phone our sales team and order the materials you require.

Can I use my voucher in combination with other offers?
Yes, you can use your voucher in combination with other offers available at the time of booking.
What type of holiday can I use my voucher on?
You can use your voucher on any inland waterways cruising holiday booked with Crown Blue Line. Holidays for one week or more to any destination are eligible.
Is there a deadline on when I can use my voucher?
The voucher can be used any time before 31/10/08. Our holidays are available from March-October each year.
I’ve been on one of your cruising holidays in the past, but the holiday was not booked in my name. Am I eligible for this Recommend A Friend offer?
This offer is only open to people who are first time cruisers and booking a holiday for the first time with either Crown Blue Line.
Can I use this voucher if I book via a travel agent?
No, this voucher can only be used when making a booking direct with Crown Blue Line.
I don’t know my friend’s booking reference number. Can I still use this voucher?
If you can confirm other booking details of your friend, then we will still be able to accept this voucher, however, it would be much easier if you could ask your friend for his reference number. It can be found on his last holiday invoice and on any correspondence he has received from us about Recommend A Friend.
